Statement: I hope to share the experience of living in a temporary body, in the context of geological time, situated somewhere within the infinite. I think of the things I will leave behind after my own time, and I see the sediment of the past becoming the ground of the future; I see places for decay to abstract, obliterate, and join the physical to the divine. Photography, drawing, painting, ceramics and sculpture have all provided possibilities to explore these themes. A practice of sustained observation and attention to experience leads to images that are personal and unfixed.
